A huge thank you to all the Yuma residents and golfers who joined us for the ribbon-cutting and reopening celebration of Arroyo Dunes Par 3 at Desert Hills Golf Course on Saturday, December 13. Your support and enthusiasm made the day truly special.
We were proud to celebrate the return of Arroyo Dunes following irrigation improvements that enhance water conservation and playability, and even more excited to kick things off with a fantastic community tournament. Congratulations to all who participated in the Two-Person Scramble, and thank you for supporting our Junior Golf programs, which help grow the next generation of golfers in Yuma.
We appreciate everyone who came out to celebrate, play, and be part of this milestone. We look forward to seeing you back on the course soon!

Join the City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community golf tournament on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Desert Hills Golf Course.
After a brief closure for irrigation upgrades that improve water conservation and playability, Arroyo Dunes is back—and better than ever!

Desert Hills Golf Course and the Desert Hills Par 3 Course are officially OPEN and ready for golfers to enjoy! 🙌
Thank you to everyone for your patience while we prepared the courses — we truly appreciate the community’s support during the closure.
Landscaping efforts are now underway as we continue to enhance and fine-tune the course conditions. 🌿
Grab your clubs, enjoy the fresh greens, and we’ll see you out on the course! 🏌️♂️🏌️♀️
