Little cool down to close out a great week of training !

Tuesday, September 8th, I had the privilege of promoting Charlotte to purple belt and Kyle, Crystal, and Duayne to brown belt.

Looking at this group photo, I’m reminded of just how special the people in our academy are. Several of our regular brown belts were on the mat that night, and among them are World Champions, Pan Champions, and European Champions. Their experience and accomplishments are a huge part of why our Zachary and Denham Springs gyms continue to be successful.

But what I’m most proud of has very little to do with medals or belts.

Every one of them genuinely cares about helping other people. They teach or assist with classes. They encourage newer students. They invest in our kids. They stay after class just to talk with someone who needs it. They make the people around them better.

That is the kind of culture we want at Excelsior Jiu-Jitsu.

Great jiu-jitsu matters, but great people matter even more.

We are truly blessed to have both.
