❤️🐸 Mrs.Martin will be missed ❤️❤️❤️

We are deeply saddened today over the passing of Mrs. Diana Martin, who touched the lives of thousands of ZCS students and staff during her time with us. Diana had retired just last August, but soon came back to help as a substitute. Our thoughts are with her husband, Okey, and the Martin family.

Hello my name is Andi Hambrick and I am/was the varsity volleyball coach for Zanesville high school for the 2023 season.

I wanted to make a statement and clear up some much asked questions. As many have seen the position for the volleyball coach is posted via Zanesville city schools and that is due to it being a supplemental position. It is required to be opened each year to allow for applicants. (Why it is posted via social media so frequently, I can only guess). I did reapply to coach for this upcoming season, with the goal of continuing the growth and improvement plans built by the coaching staff and myself for the Zanesville Volleyball program.

This past year I took on the position as a new and inexperienced coach, (with no other person willing to fill the position) the season was full of challenges and new learning curves. With very little guidance, it is hard to achieve change and improvement in just a short amount of time, as a single season when starting just in June (when I took on the position).

I am human, and as any person is bound to do, I made mistakes but in making those mistakes I learned from them and if I am chosen to continue coaching for the 2024 season, I will continue to work on correcting and improving the program as my time as coach continues, IF it continues. If another applicant is found to be a better fit for the 2024 season, then just like any job, that person I am sure will be chosen. I have no control over this process.
I hope to continue with the volleyball program and to continue to have a hand in building it to a level of success and quality. If the school feels otherwise, I do hope that whoever takes over continues to make improvements and progress with the program and team.

I would like to say thank you for the support and guidance from staff, players and families and I hope this clears up any confusion and questions.
