General note about the new 230.The GP230 is equipped with a specially reinforced CDI configured with zero-degree ignition timing. This CDI is exclusively designed for the GP230 and must not be used in conjunction with any other twin-cylinder engines.
Using this CDI with a different engine platform may result in incorrect ignition timing, which can lead to severe engine damage, loss of control, and potential personal injury.
Please observe this restriction strictly and ensure that the GP230 CDI is used only with the GP230 engine.

We have had a few customers ask about removing hubs.

You can use the prop drilling . Grind an angle on the center bolt to fit into the center drill of the crankshaft use it to pull the hub. Keep in mind the hub is a taper lock so be patient getting it off . I would heat it with the heat gun. Be very careful not to damage the crankshaft.

We have had a lot of questions about LIFE batteries. If you choose to use LIFE batteries on the GP ignition we recommend you run a separate battery . If you are using with an IBEC powering the plane from the same source as your ignition while working the servos the voltage will drop well below the recommended minimum voltage of 6.6 volts and your ignition will cut out and even damage the ignition. We can also recommend using lithium ion cell pack that have a similar voltage range as a Lipo as an alternative. If anyone has any questions feel free to email me at [email protected].
