Word of the showcase: PERSEVERANCE

No matter how much planning goes into an event, there are just some things out of your control with the weather being one of them. Unfortunately for our first annual showcase, the weather just did not cooperate with us as every time it seemed like the radar showed it would clear up a new cell would pop up. At first, we thought this would mean the cancellation of our big event, but with the help of so many incredible people in our cheer community, we made it happen!

Thank you to every single person who had a small part in making today a success despite the challenges! From the patience of our fans to the coaches being incredibly supportive to do whatever it took to allow our girls to perform to family members jumping in to help, this could not have happened without you!

We can’t wait to share more about the event and recognize some of the incredible support, but for now, we recognize our cheer COMMUNITY coming together to allow our cheerleaders to shine as well as the incredible effort by ALL of our girls to put on some great performances! It was amazing to see all of your individual team routines, but it was even more incredible seeing you all on the mat together as one whole Tornado Cheer Team! It’s game day on the Hill with a twist as it’s alumni night for our band and cheer teams! Be sure to pack those stands to cheer on the boys!

Cheer alumni, please arrive around 6:15pm to stretch and warmup! Pregame starts at 6:45pm! Band alumni, Mr. Ruetz suggested 6pm in the band room to review. If you’d like to practice for the pregame, you can also join at 4pm on the field!

IT’S OFFICIALLY SHOWCASE WEEK!

We’re so excited to get all of our West Muskingum Cheer teams together at one event to perform, and we hope to see some packed stands to support our girls! We will have a spirit shop where we will be selling old uniforms as well as some spirit props, concession stands, and a 50/50! It’s going to be an amazing night of cheer and fun!

If anyone would like to help make this night a success, we are looking for some help with concession stands and an announcer to make the event run smoothly! Let Coach Hill know if you’d like to jump in!

If any cheer alumni were planning on coming to the open practice on Monday, we will be having to move this to Wednesday at 6pm due to our rescheduled JV game! Please join us on September 19th for the chance to catch all of our Tornado Cheer teams in action! We are so excited to be able to have this cheer centered event where our Tornadoes of all ages will be able to support each other and cheer together!
