After months of planning, collaboration, and countless conversations, we are excited to officially announce that the proposed venue for Gus Macker Zanesville 2027 has been confirmed!
The tournament will be hosted through a partnership between:

With the venue confirmed, our focus now shifts toward finalizing our agreement with Gus Macker after Labor Day and continuing preparations to welcome hundreds of teams, thousands of visitors, and an unforgettable weekend of basketball and community to Muskingum County.
This is another major milestone, but the work is just beginning.
We're not just bringing back a basketball tournament—we're building partnerships, creating opportunities, supporting local businesses, and showcasing everything that makes our community special.

We are incredibly excited to launch our first-ever LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Cancer Survivor Program at the Muskingum County Family YMCA!

Beginning September 23, this FREE 12-week program is designed specifically for adult cancer survivors who are ready to regain strength, improve their physical fitness, reduce fatigue, and build confidence after treatment.

More than just an exercise program, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA provides a safe, supportive community where survivors can connect with others who understand their journey while working toward improved health and well-being. Certified YMCA instructors tailor each class to meet individual needs and abilities, helping participants take the next step in their recovery.

💛 Program Starts: September 23
📅 Length: 12 weeks
💲 Cost: FREE for eligible participants

Today we had the opportunity to celebrate some of our incredible lifeguards at Zoombezi Bay for Lifeguard Appreciation Day! These staff members earned this trip by completing the required trainings and in-services throughout the year, showing their commitment to growing their skills and providing the safest experience possible for our members.

We couldn't be more proud of this group. They work hard, continue to learn, and show up for our YMCA and our community every day. It was so much fun getting to watch them relax, laugh, and simply enjoy a day together outside of work. They've certainly earned it.
Thank you for everything you do for our Y family. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we appreciate each and every one of you. 💙🏊

What an incredible day at our 2nd Annual Back to School Bash! 💙💚
Thank you to every family who came out to celebrate with us as we wrapped up another amazing summer. Seeing so many smiling faces, children laughing, and families making memories is exactly what the YMCA is all about.
We got so caught up in the fun that we forgot to take many pictures, but we managed to capture a few special moments! From the giant water slide and games to cheering on our brave Executive Director, Tyler McDade, as he took the plunge off the diving board (more than once!), there was never a dull moment. Our summer campers made sure he heard their encouragement loud and clear!
Friends of the Y also had the chance to dunk both Tyler and our Aquatics Director in the dunk tank, and let's just say... there was no shortage of volunteers ready to make that happen! 😄💦

The Muskingum County Family YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic, positive, and dependable Teen Center Advisor to help bring our brand-new Teen Center to life!

This position primarily includes afternoon and evening hours and is perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring teens, creating fun experiences, and making a positive impact in our community.

Our Teen Center will be more than just a place to hang out—it will be a safe, welcoming space where teens can:
🎮 Have fun with friends
📚 Get homework help and study
🎨 Explore art, STEM, coding, and creative writing
🤝 Volunteer and develop leadership skills
💡 Learn new things while building confidence and connections

As our Teen Center Advisor, you'll:
⭐ Plan and lead engaging recreational and educational activities
⭐ Build meaningful relationships with teens and their families
⭐ Partner with local businesses and community members to bring unique opportunities into the Teen Center
⭐ Create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where every teen feels they belong
⭐ Encourage healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility through the YMCA's core values
⭐ Work alongside staff and volunteers to create an unforgettable experience for every teen who walks through our doors

We're thrilled to announce that our Fitness Floor is getting a major upgrade to better serve our members!
✨ Here's what's coming:
• Brand-new flooring
• All-new ULTRA selectorized strength equipment

• A new Climbmill
• New dumbbells

To complete these exciting renovations, the Wellness Center will be closed July 27 through August 11. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to create an even better fitness experience for everyone.
