After a great deal of reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision to step down as Head Coach of the Stateline Stingers.
First and foremost, thank you, Coach Lunsford, for giving me the opportunity to help bring youth wrestling back to Zion. You've been a true role model throughout my life, and your belief in me made this incredible journey possible.
This wasn’t an easy decision. The past four years with the Stingers have been nothing short of amazing. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some incredible coaches, coaching dedicated young athletes, and collaborating with families who truly care—not just about the sport, but about the growth and development of their kids. I’m deeply grateful for the trust, support, and camaraderie you’ve all shown me. It’s meant more than I can put into words.
Though I’m stepping away from the Stingers, I’m not stepping away from the sport I love. I’ll be taking on a new role with the Westosha High School wrestling program, and I’ll also be involved in developing the Westosha youth wrestling program. I’m excited to continue giving back to wrestling and helping shape the next generation of athletes in a new capacity.
To all the athletes, families, and fellow coaches who’ve been part of this chapter—thank you. It’s been an honor.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.

As the 2024/25 season comes to a close, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to a few key people who made this journey so incredible.
First and foremost, a huge thank you to our amazing coaches—Justin, Omar, and Tony. Your unwavering dedication and commitment to the kids, both in the corner and in the mat room, have been instrumental in their growth and success.
A special shout-out to Adam Duller, my right-hand man throughout the season. You took on many different roles and were essential to the success of the Stingers wrestling club. Your help and support were truly appreciated.
Lastly, a big thank you to all of our Stingers families, “The Swarm.” Your trust in us to help develop your young athletes means the world me.
I'm proud to announce that this season, we finished with 13 State Qualifiers across WI and IL. We had 5 athletes make it to the podium, and added another State Champion to our board. It’s been an incredibly successful season, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
Please be on the look out for info coming out soon about our end of the year party.
