I got into rugby initially because I was looking for a spring sport to do to keep in shape for football in high school. A couple friends of mine kept pestering me to come try it out and I’m glad they did. That was 12 years ago now. And thru high school, college and into men’s rugby, the culture and community has always impressed me. Every time I’m down and feel like all is lost, my teammates are always there in support to pick me back up. Words can’t describe how grateful I am for this sport, my teammates and the community I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of.

My favorite Queen City memory so far was definitely our trip to Argentina. I made so many new friends and experiences! And got to score a kick and chase try in Argentina! Also, I never wore the chunder hat!

Queen City is looking forward to many more years from the frog… can’t wait to see what the future brings!

This past Wednesday, Queen City Rugby took the field under the lights at Estadio Charrúa where the international Uruguayan Rugby team plays. We played a very physical and disciplined Barbarian select side. We are very thankful to have such amazing hosts!
