• Los buceadores que hayan dado positivo en COVID-19 pero hayan permanecido completamente asintomáticos, deben esperar UN mes antes de reanudar el buceo.

• Los buceadores que hayan padecido sintomáticamente la COVID-19, deben esperar al menos TRES meses antes de solicitar una revisión médica de aptitud al buceo realizado por un médico con formación en medicina del buceo.

• Los buceadores que han sido hospitalizados con o debido a síntomas pulmonares en relación con la COVID-19, deben esperar al menos TRES meses antes de solicitar una revisión médica de aptitud al buceo realizado por un médico con formación en medicina del buceo, con pruebas completas de la función pulmonar (al menos FVC, FEV1, PEF25-50-75, RV y FEV1/FVC, y una prueba de esfuerzo, con medición periférica de saturación de oxígeno), así como una exploración por TC de alta resolución de los pulmones.

• Los buceadores que hayan sido hospitalizados con o debido a problemas cardíacos en relación con la COVID-19, deben esperar al menos TRES meses antes de solicitar una revisión médica de aptitud al buceo realizado por un médico con formación en medicina del buceo, con evaluación cardíaca, incluyendo ecocardiografía y prueba de esfuerzo (con electrocardiografía durante el esfuerzo).

Can a woman dive while menstruating?

As a woman diver I've received this question not only by my ladies students but also by many friends.
The answer I allways give is: if not, I might never be considered to work in diving.

To work in diving is like to have any kind of other job. If every woman in the world mentioned in their application that once per month, every month, they will not go to work during their period, there would be no women working anywhere.
Every woman in the world, despite her job, goes to work during their period.
Sometimes is painful or annoying, sometimes it is more tiring, but woman all around the world goes to work every day no matter being with the period or not.
To work as a diver is the same. No difference at all.
Fortunately technology has developed very practical "devices" for these days such as the menstrual cup or tampon.
During diving we use them as well.
Some women doesn't but as usual it will depends of every woman.
Consider safety first always and if you are feeling well and there is nothing medical indication to not dive, you can do so.
