Fuel your training the right way! ⏳ Eating your meal 2-3 hours before training gives your body enough time to digest and access the energy you need to perform at your best. As you get closer to your session, opt for carbohydrates richer in sugar to quickly top up your energy stores and power through your workout! ⚡🍌🍚

Fuel your run the right way! Carbohydrates are our body’s preferred source of energy, so aim for 0.5-1g per kg of body weight in easily digestible carbs 30-40 minutes before training. Here’s what I eat sometimes before and after my run to stay energised and recover well!

Week 2/52 ✨💫
After a rough week thanks to a bout of food poisoning, fitness took a bit of a backseat. But this weekend truly filled my cup in so many ways ♥️ Family time, friends time, and a much-needed run! Kicked off the year with my first run/race, and my favorite two little sidekicks joined me in the pram. 🥹 I can’t imagine the day when running with them in the pram comes to an end!

I’ve finally found my groove again in the gym! I haven’t felt like I’ve had a routine in months 🙈, but this week it’s just clicked—and boy, does it feel good 🤗.
You don’t have to wait until January to start. If you start now, you’ll be five weeks into your health and fitness journey before January even begins! That’s five weeks of building new habits, learning how to socialise while staying on track, and making strides towards your goals 💫
If you’re ready to start and feel like you need a helping hand, why not take advantage of my Black Friday offer?
I’m currently helping people with:
👉 Fat loss goals
👉 Performance goals—running and gaining strength
👉 Pre-season Gaelic football prep
👉 Accountability
DM me, and we can have a chat to see if it’s the right fit for you. Sign up before 4th December and get the month of January free!
Approximately 15% of women have a 28-day cycle, yet most resources focus primarily on this duration. A normal cycle can range from 21 to 40 days. 🗓️
You will experience your first cycle during puberty and your last one at menopause, which usually spans a significant part of your life. 💫
The best way to understand your cycle is to track it; however, it’s crucial to first learn about the various phases and the changes that may occur within them. By using apps such as Flo or Period Calendar, you can begin to recognise your individual pattern and empower yourself to notice any changes. 📈

A weekend of solo parenting but one that was good for the soul ✨
1. Attempted a gym session on Saturday with them in tow. It worked wayyy better than I thought; they either copied me or boxed or ran around 🥊
2. Scooted our way to the skate park 🛹
3. Think it’s time we upgrade to a two wheeler 🛴
4. There’s always one 🫣
5. Very optimistic setting an alarm for 7am for run club 🙃
6. She gets it from her mummy 🤥 ⚽️
7 & 8. They sense the minute I open my eyes. Early morning work time block wasn’t quiet as productive 👩🏻💻

For the weekend that’s in it: remember it takes a lot of calories to gain fat in a 24hour period or a weekend for that matter. The increase you might see on the scales is likely to be water weight from the increase in carbohydrates; this will go back down once you’re back to your normal routine.
One meal won’t make you gain fat and one nutritious meal won’t make you lose fat. It’s what you do over time that makes the difference; consistency over perfection 🙌🏻
So eat the Easter eggs, enjoy the chocolate, have the craic with a few drinks 🐣🥂
