The 8th Ordinary Congress of the KCA was concluded

🇹🇯The 8th Ordinary Congress of the Kurash Confederation of Asia was held in Dushanbe, the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan, within the framework of the 15th Asian Senior Kurash Championship.

The Congress was attended by the heads of national federations affiliated with the KCA, officials of the IKA, members of the continental confederation’s leadership, and a number of distinguished guests.

🎙The Congress was opened by the President of the Kurash Confederation of Asia, Komil Ruziev. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Sports, and the Tajikistan Kurash Federation for hosting the 15th Asian Championship at a high organisational level. He also emphasised the importance of cooperation and unity in the development of Kurash across the Asian continent.

💫During the Congress, IKA Vice President Sherzodkhon Kudratkhodja highlighted the growing international status of Kurash and thanked the national federations for their active efforts in promoting and developing the sport.

🖋In accordance with the agenda, the minutes of the 7th Congress were first approved. This was followed by discussions on amendments and additions to the Statutes of the Kurash Confederation of Asia, after which the relevant resolutions were adopted.

🎙A report on the preparations for the 15th Asian Championship was presented by Rakhmatjon Urinov, Vice President of the Tajikistan Kurash Federation and representative of the Championship Organising Committee. Meeting of the KCA Directing Committee was held

📍The Ordinary Meeting of the Directing Committee of the Kurash Confederation of Asia was held in Dushanbe, the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan, within the framework of the XV Asian Senior Kurash Championship.

🎙The meeting was chaired by the President of the Asian Kurash Confederation, Komil Ruziev, and the members of the Committee discussed a number of important issues aimed at further developing the sport of Kurash on a continental scale.

📌The agenda of the meeting included amendments and additions to the Confederation's Charter, including proposals regarding the election of the KCA President, preparations for the XV Asian Championship, and matters related to holding the 2027 Asian Championship.

📋A report on the preparatory work being carried out for the championship by the Organising Committee was also presented.

❗️At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant decisions were made on the agenda items, and it was recommended that they be submitted for discussion to the VIII Congress of the Kurash Confederation of Asia.

KCA President Arrives in Dushanbe

🇹🇯The President of the Kurash Confederation of Asia (KCA), Komil Ruziev, has arrived in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, to participate in the 15th Asian Senior Kurash Championships and the 8th KCA Congress.

🛬At the official reception hall of Dushanbe International Airport, the KCA President was welcomed by Abdumalik Orifov, President of the Tajikistan Kurash Federation; Mansur Mirzaev, Head of the Administration of the International Kurash Association; Farrukh Saidqulov, General Secretary of Kurash Confederation of Asia; members of the Organizing Committee; and representatives of the mass media.

💫During the welcoming ceremony, Abdumalik Orifov warmly greeted Komil Ruziev in Dushanbe and briefly informed him about the preparations for the 15th Asian Championships, including the sports facilities, arrangements for receiving delegations, and the events planned within the framework of the championship.

Organizing Committee Meeting Held Ahead of the Asian Championship

🇹🇯An expanded meeting of the organising committee was held under the leadership of the General Secretary of the International Kurash Association (IKA) Mohammad Reza Nassiri ahead of the XV Asian Senior Kurash Championship.

🔵The meeting was attended by the IKA Technical Director Ravi Kapoor, Sports Director Hyong S*k Bae, Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev, Rector of the International Kurash Institute Khabibulla Tadjiev, KCA General Secretary Farrukh Saidkulov, President of the Tajikistan Kurash Federation Abdumalik Orifov, organising committee members, and the IKA staff.

🔰During the meeting, the reports of those responsible for all areas of preparation for the championship were heard. In particular, the work carried out and the tasks that need to be finalised regarding the organisation of competitions, reception of delegations, transport, hotels, security, medical services, media, and broadcasting were discussed.

📍Following this, a working group led by Mohammad Reza Nassiri visited the "Dushanbe Tennis Palace and Water Sport Complex," where the championship competitions will take place, and inspected the technical readiness of the sports facility.
As part of the visit, preparations were also reviewed at the "Hyatt Regency Dushanbe" hotel, where the Directing Committee meeting of the Kurash Confederation of Asia and the VIII Congress will be held.

💫During the final inspection, a number of suggestions and recommendations were made to organise the championship at the level of international standards, and relevant instructions were given to those in charge.

5 Days Left Until the Start of the Asian Championship

🇹🇯From June 11 to 15, 2026, the capital city of the Republic of Tajikistan — Dushanbe — will host the 15th Asian Senior Kurash Championship.

⚡️Preparations for the competition have entered the final stage. The atmosphere of the championship is already clearly felt throughout Dushanbe city. In particular, banners and promotional videos dedicated to the championship are being displayed at Dushanbe International Airport, along the central streets, and on major LED screens.

🔵Yesterday, the first working group of the International Kurash Association arrived in Dushanbe. During the visit, together with representatives of the Tajikistan Kurash Federation and the Organizing Committee, the venues designated for the championship events were inspected.

🔄Technical preparations are currently underway at the “Dushanbe Tennis Palace and Water Sport Complex,” where the competition will take place. Kurash Gilams, lighting systems, media platforms, television broadcasting facilities, and infrastructure for participants are being prepared in accordance with international standards.

In addition, the Kurash Confederation of Asia Directing Committee meeting and Congress, technical meeting, and the draw ceremony are scheduled to be held at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dushanbe.
