Adventure day with the Ohana crew on Martinique! Started off hiking Mt. Pelèe volcano in the clouds followed by 3 rum distillery tours. Martinique rum is so great. JM, Neisson & Habitation Clèment.

El nino wind shear for the win (nothing coming across the Atlantic has a chance the next several weeks). Stiff 25 to 30kt breeze all day, tucked up off Ste Anne Beach in Martinique. Couple squalls this evening with stronger gusts but no swell or roll, full side isenglass keeping us protected and dry.

Made the correct decision to cut our Sint Maarten stay short and departed Monday afternoon (after a 3 night hotel staycation) for Guadeloupe. Continuing on to Martinique just to be safe. Regardless of storm, massive swell on the way.
Sailing into the 1st weak tropical depression with 20kt winds & squalls. Solent & double reef on main sail comfortably doing 6- 7kts. Should be a sunrise arrival into Le Merin

Getting towed from VA Beach to Cape Charles was not on my delivery bingo card, gearbox oil cooler failed in 4 kts of wind with a really terrible 48 hr forecast.

The only constant when sailing offshore is change. Easy breezy day to stuffing the bow into 6ft waves on the blue submarine in less than an hour.

Picturesque day on the not so high seas! 114 miles E of the in-laws on Tybee Island. Fast and steady in the stream.

244 miles 1st 24 hrs, falcon 9 launch starting my 6-9am watch, wind should be filling back in this afternoon for the next few days.
