Unfurled Sails

Getting towed from VA Beach to Cape Charles was not on my delivery bingo card, gearbox oil cooler failed in 4 kts of wind with a really terrible 48 hr forecast.

The only constant when sailing offshore is change. Easy breezy day to stuffing the bow into 6ft waves on the blue submarine in less than an hour.

Picturesque day on the not so high seas! 114 miles E of the in-laws on Tybee Island. Fast and steady in the stream.

244 miles 1st 24 hrs, falcon 9 launch starting my 6-9am watch, wind should be filling back in this afternoon for the next few days.

After a 21hr delay due to a broken 17th st bridge, underway & making way toward Newport!

Lovely morning for a sail, in the gulf stream doing 12kts, + - 1100 miles to go.

Bi-annual work week incoming... off to Ft. Lauderdale to sail Mustang back to Newport. Should be absolutely flying in the gulf steam on a beam reach NE.

I'm sorry for all the bad things I said about Spirit Airlines. Missing the direct flight on the yellow bus. Down to a 10 min layover in San Juan.

May is such a lovely time in the Virgin Islands! Calmer winds, clearer water and way fewer crowds.
