Hi All,

As you all probably know by know, Hurricane Irma hit the BVI's pretty hard. I will be sharing a few videos in this thread.

How YOU can help? there are charities set up, where you can donate, right now it's not about rebuilding, it is about stabilizing the situation, providing the inhabitants with drinkable water, electricity, food etc.

Right now the ONLY volunteers needed are medical professionals:

ATTENTION: MEDICAL STAFF VOLUNTEERS TO BVI:
We have just set up a separate email address for medical relief flight clearances. Attention of Dr George: [email protected]
Urge any medical staff willing to volunteer to BVI to please get there ASAP. Book your charter flights and get flight clearance from email above PLEASE.

------
If you aren't a doctor but would like to help by sending money, these are fundraisers where every single cent donated goes directly to the rebuild (no overhead):

This page is for those who were lucky enough to attend a HIHO regatta.

The last regatta was sailed in 2013 - and is greatly missed..

Please share your HIHO photos and memories with the rest of us here, and keep the spirit alive. Who knows, maybe one day we will once again meet on the friendly blue waters of the BVI's

This years HIHO race has been rescheduled to January 19, 2014. Everything remains the same, except you can escape the Winter blues while paddling, SUPing and kiting through the BVI for a week.

One from the archives. The 1981 Hook-In-Hold-On race logo. Back then all the competitors were all windsurfers and they raced from island to island with their clothes and sleeping bags in a backpack. Classic!

HIHO Race heating up with some big name SUP racers making plans to attend. The entire Fanatic international racing team will be building their photo shoot around the event. A few other top name SUP racers looking into flights, including one of the great paddle champions of the sport! Everyone is excited about the $10,000 Painkiller Cup which pits 3-person teams on a 14-mile relay from Tortola to the Soggy Dollar Bar.

The yacht race during the HIHO event. We always throw in one race aboard the Moorings catamarans during the weeklong event and it's ways considered one of the best races of the week! Everyone works together to get the yacht going as fast as possible!
