The best day of your vacation - even if your crew is this small 🍼

Captain Colin and the whole FlyAway team have a soft spot for the little ones. Private boat, calm anchorages, kids in the water, babies in good hands.

We are SO fired up and proud of all these incredible young sailors — but we especially want to send a HUGE congratulations to our own extended FlyAway crew, Audie and Zach! ⚓️🌴

Captain Doug and Captain Anna have both been huge parts of the FlyAway family for years, and one of the coolest things has been getting to watch their kids grow with us — around boats, charters, docks, saltwater, and the Caribbean marine lifestyle.

Programs like KATS are such an awesome part of our community, but what makes this even more special to us is knowing these kids have also spent years learning real seamanship through their parents and through life on the water here on St. John. From hanging around the boats as kids to now competing at this level… it’s honestly really cool to watch and humbling to a part of!

The marine community down here is small, connected, and deeply generational — and moments like this are exactly why programs like KATS matter so much.

Big congratulations as well to ALL the sailors who competed in the BVI Dinghy Championships. What an awesome accomplishment for these young athletes. Proud of every one of you. 🌊⛵️

Communication creates community.

Inspired by “A Respect for the Ruins” by Jalayne Jones and Leah Randall — a piece rooted in history, culture, and preservation — this is a reminder that understanding starts with listening.

These islands hold many stories, and the strongest communities are built when we approach one another with respect, openness, and a willingness to learn.

There is space for all of us here.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there — especially the women of FlyAway Charters who somehow make all of this happen every single day. 💙

From guest relations, to problem solving, to running trips, raising kids, handling chaos, keeping people happy, and carrying so much behind the scenes… I’m constantly inspired by the women around me.

There’s something really special about watching women continue carving out space in the maritime and tourism worlds while still leading with heart, warmth, strength, and love. Mothers who are also mariners. Caretakers. Businesswomen. Adventure seekers. Women building beautiful lives for their families while helping create unforgettable experiences for others too.

This life is busy and messy and not always easy, but I really love getting to grow through it together with so many incredible women around me. Somewhere along the way, this also became a bit of a sisterhood — one where we know how to work hard, support each other, inspire each other, laugh until we cry, goof off, and definitely have a good time together too.

To our FlyAway moms, our women on the water, and all the mothers out there making magic happen behind the scenes every day — we see you, we appreciate you, and today we celebrate you. ❤️

Happy Mother’s Day from our FlyAway family to yours. 🌴⚓️

(And don’t forget to watch the videos at the end of this post because they’re very us 😂

Awww we love Shadow!!! Thanks for sharing! This is the same place we found Scuppers years ago and the two are making friends right now! 👍🏼🫶🏼💙🏴‍☠️

✨ Adoption Update ✨

Welcome home sweet Shadow. 🖤

There’s nothing better than seeing one of our shelter cats finally find the life they deserve — a safe home, a soft bed, full food bowls, and most importantly, love. Shadow has officially started his next chapter and we could not be happier for this beautiful boy.

Every adoption reminds us why we keep going. For every animal waiting patiently in a kennel or condo, there is hope that their person is out there just waiting to find them.

A huge thank you to and for helping make happy endings like this possible. We are so grateful for community partners who continue to support rescue animals on their journey home.

Enjoy your beautiful new life Shadow… you’ll always be one of our coconut kitties. 🐾
