In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a gauntlet is a tradition practiced at some academies after a student is promoted to a new belt. It is meant as a symbolic rite of passage and a way for the team to celebrate the student's hard work and achievement. 🥋
The newly promoted student walks or runs between two lines of teammates, who WHACK da hell out of them with their belts as they pass through 😆😆
