Asai karate is based on Funakoshi/Nakayama Shotokan karate with the added techniques by Master Tetsuhiko Asai. Asai karate is unique as it combines the long-distance fighting method of Shotokan Karate, with the short-distance fighting method of White Crane Kung fu.
