For the last 8 years I have helped sports athletes, samba dancers and ordinary people develop strong and powerful glutes.

I seem to have been living under a stone the last decade. I had no idea sports drinks like Aqurius and Gatorade had zero calorie options, maybe because I haven’t really drank any for the last 10 years due to the switch from football to lifting weights.

First I would say it’s not really necessary for lifting weights as it it is for endurance sports where the duration can be longer and you tend to sweat a bit more.

Replenishing the body with electrolytes in the last case can improve performance.

I have personally always loved the taste of sports drinks and I’m happy to be able to enjoy it again every now and then without worrying about excessive calories.

2 x 5 minutes of this was hell!
Since I cannot really run much because of a chronic ankle injury this is a nice and fun way for me to keep my cardio in check.

If you are not a fan of running on the treadmill or indoor bike then just find something else to do that bring your heart rate up. The possibilities are endless.

This swap can be a significant one if you drink a lot of milk in general.

I drink about 400ml a day which I use in smoothies.

The difference between whole and skim for that amount is 120 kcal. Doesn’t sound like a lot, but when you sum up other food swaps I use, it certainly adds up, and help my calories stay down when I want them to.

On the other hand, if you inly use a tea spoon or three for your daily coffee, I would go for whole milk any day!

A fabulous low carb/ calorie substitution for spaghetti is ZUCCHINI noodles (zoodles)!

How to:
1️⃣ Use a vegetable spiralizer to make any desired amount of zoodles.
2️⃣ Put the zoodles in a colander and sprinkle with salt to dry it out a bit (15 min). Can also use paper if you don’t want to use soo much salt.
3️⃣ Use whatever sauce you want with the zoodles and enjoy you low carb meal πŸ™‚
