The Kuala Lumpur Friendly Series 2025 (KLFS2025) marked a regional milestone as the first Lacrosse Sixes tournament held in Southeast Asia
KLFS2025 featured 11 men’s and women’s teams, with participation from both established and emerging lacrosse nations (i.e South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and host teams)
Officials from countries including Egypt, Tanzania, and Indonesia were given the opportunity to officiate matches throughout the tournament, reflecting the event’s international representation
Alongside competitive matches, KLFS2025 incorporated developmental initiatives. Students from the University of Tsukuba Malaysia Campus participated in a lacrosse clinic conducted in conjunction with the tournament, supporting athlete education and grassroots exposure to the sport.
KLFS managed to combined fun, competitive play and development activities within a single event, contributing to the continued growth of lacrosse in Southeast Asia
