Your brain is like a control center that keeps your muscles tight to protect you.
If your brain feels unsteady or loses focus, it creates stiffness to act like a safety brace.
Stretching often fails because you are fighting your brainās plan to keep you stable.
Because the brain thinks you need that tension, it will just bring the tightness back later.
To get your muscles to relax, you must prove to your brain that you are safe.
You can do this by giving your brain better information with simple breathing or balance drills.
Once your brain feels secure, it will stop the stiffness and let your body move easily again.

Your dip doesnāt randomly fall apart when it gets heavy.
It usually breaks the same way every time.
You either lose position and control as the load increases, or you run out of space as you get deeper.
The problem is, both can feel like the same plateau.
So you start changing cues, exercises, setups, maybe even your whole program, without knowing what youāre actually trying to fix.
Once you understand your pattern, you stop guessing and start solving the right problem.
Thatās exactly why I built the weighted dip Plateau breakthrouh.
Comment āPLATEAUā and Iāll send it over.
.san came to me after pain had already forced him to remove muscle-ups from his program completely.
Less than a year later, heās hitting +15 kg for an easy double with more to come.

You canāt be talked out of a belief. You have to be experienced out of one.
You can explain perfect technique all day.
But explanations donāt change people.
Experiences do.
Every athlete who joins me brings a history of experiences that shaped how they move, what they expect from their body and what they believe theyāre capable of.
If every dip has hurt for years, your brain predicts pain before you even touch the bars.
If every heavy pull-up has shifted to one side, that becomes your ānormal.ā
Thatās why coaching isnāt about throwing more cues at the problem.
My job is to create new experiences.
A pain-free rep. A technically better rep. A heavier lift than you thought you were capable of.
Those moments change belief.
And once belief changes, behaviour changes.
Behaviour creates new outcomes. Those outcomes reinforce the new belief.
Thatās how lasting progress happens.
I donāt just coach exercises.
I coach the experiences that make better performance inevitable.
The frustrating part is that ārounded shouldersā usually feel like something you should be able to fix by just trying harder.
Sit taller.
Pull back.
Open the chest.
Squeeze the shoulder blades.
And for a few seconds, it even looks better.
But then you relax, breathe, move, train, press, pull or sit for a whileā¦
And the exact same position comes back.
That is the part most people miss.
Your body is not forgetting the cue.
It is choosing the position that makes the most sense with the options it currently has.
So if the ribcage underneath the shoulder cannot move well, the shoulder will keep finding the same resting place.
Not because you are lazy.
Not because your posture is bad.
Because the system has not been given a better option yet.

Most athletes fail the muscle up becauseā¦
ā¦they train without structure - too many sloppy reps, too much band assistance and progressions that do not match how they actually pull.
Two athletes can both fail the muscle up for completely different reasons. One is explosive but loses control around the bar. The other has a strength base but cannot produce enough speed for a clean transition.
Giving them the same program fixes neither.
Classification first. Progression second. That is what makes the difference between four weeks of progress and four weeks of the same failed rep.
