Going back to Nha Trang Underwater and do scuba Diving occup the second place on my goals list, I need to know ,.. ? Some of you may not know me but I have contributed to develop scuba diving in Vietnam ( particularly in Nha Trang) with Vietnamese and foreign divers like Jeremy Steins's Rainbow Divers IDC center ( he also made the choice to stay) but I want also confront those who think wrongly about Vietnam.
Being stucked in Belgium since July 2024, the only answer I have when I say that I lived in Vietnam for more than a quarter century is , are you in the army? WTF??.
All know about Thailand's night life ( they won't tell you about the lady boys, 😁), but the majority thinks Vietnam stills at war,... In 2026😅.
We used to travel in our head first, without knowing the real deal and we survived , nowadays with a SMART phone, you can see it in real time, for info and plans .Usually, those with wrong informations are just afraid of going to far from their nest, the unknown parts of travelling are to scary to handle, for them and I get it( What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand,...) but if you don't want to be the ignorant in a conversation, gather real informations. Vietnamese people are kind, smily, open minded and the country is developed and beautiful from Con Dao island (South) to Sapa's mountains (North). For those looking for a truly Asian culture (rural or developed), Vietnam is the right choice.

if you can find your way back from there, underwater, of course, you earn the navigation specialty Trang Underwater . When you dive on a new spot, get some reference marks( coral,bolder, wall, mud, anchoring liné,...) with their depths is a good way to find your way back with a limited vision underwater.
we also pray for Vietnam,

Fossilized plastic found in the great garbage patch, a huge mass of garbages of all sort,including carcass of strangled marine species. Ocean clean started few years ago with the idea of your Dutchman and he is all around the world on rivers, junction rivers to ocean,and is also now working with the UNESCO because it's by educating youngster that we might have it changed.
