Far East Football Tournament – Bangkok 2026
Champions 🏆 (04-05/04/2026)

The Saints made history in Bangkok, crowned Far East Football Tournament Champions for the first time after 16 years of competing. 💙⚽

Over a demanding weekend of football, the Saints navigated the round robin stage with 3 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss, finishing in the top half to secure a place in the Cup knockout stages.

The momentum carried into the semi-finals, where the Saints delivered a composed 2-0 win over hosts German All-Stars to book their place in the final.

In the final, against Farangutans FC, the Saints rose to the occasion once again, producing another 2-0 victory to seal the cup and complete a historic run.

A remarkable achievement for the squad — overcoming multiple matches, tough conditions, and the Bangkok heat to bring the trophy home to Vietnam for the very first time. 👊

The lads put in the work on the pitch and didn’t hold back off it either, but it was all worth it in the end.

A weekend to remember, and one that will go down in Saints history. 🔵⚪️

Saigon Ultimate XI League – Matchday 8 (24/04/2026)
Saigon Saints 2–1 Fox FC

Late Sitch Volley Seals the Points 💥

Friday night saw the Saints take on Fox FC, securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory and another important three points.

The Saints took the lead in the first half after Zakaria Ibrahim reacted quickest to finish into the bottom left corner. Just moments earlier, he had won a penalty but saw his effort saved, before making amends almost immediately following a dangerous ball across from Chris Grant, with a slight touch from Chris Byrnes helping it into his path. The Saints went into half-time 1-0 up.

It proved to be a tough contest, with Fox set up well defensively and limiting clear chances despite the Saints creating opportunities throughout.

With five minutes remaining, Fox found an equaliser from a short corner, as the ball travelled to the back post and deflected in.

The response was immediate. From a Saints corner, delivered by Grant, the ball found Sitch, who struck a superb first-time volley into the bottom corner to restore the lead.

The Saints stayed strong in the closing moments to see out the game and secure the win. The result leaves the Saints in third place, with four games still remaining in the league. 🔵⚪️

Saigon Ultimate XI League – Matchday 7 (22/04/2026)
Saigon Saints 5–2 Saigon Japan

Wednesday night saw the Saints take on Saigon Japan, securing an important 5-2 victory as they continue their push up the Ultimate League table.

The Saints started strongly and took the lead early in the first half. Chris Byrnes played a well-weighted through ball that caused problems for the Japan defence, allowing Jai Sharma to pounce and finish confidently to the right of goal.

The second followed shortly after down the left flank. Jai Sharma showed great skill and determination to keep possession, linking up well with Chris Grant and Nathan Sitch. Jai’s header across goal found Grant, who finished with ease.

The third came towards the end of the first half, as Grant produced a fantastic outside-of-the-boot pass into Sitch, who controlled well and finished emphatically. Japan pulled one back from a corner just before the break to make it 3-1 at half-time.

The Saints extended their lead early in the second half. Sitch played a great through ball to Grant out wide, whose effort was parried by the keeper into the path of Jai Sharma, who made no mistake.

The fifth came from a sharp counter-attack. Oisin Murphy found Darren Wickrama on the right, who drove forward before timing his pass perfectly to Sitch. His low cross beat the keeper and found Phil Sheridan for a simple tap-in.

Japan added a late goal from a deep cross, but the Saints remained in control to see out a strong result. Plenty of chances meant the scoreline could have been even more commanding, with efforts hitting the woodwork and others just missing the target.

A great response and collective team performance saw the Saints pick up three crucial points as they continue to climb the Ultimate League table. 🔵⚪️

Saigon Saints 4–1 Giahtem FC

Friday night saw the Saints take on league leaders Giahtem FC, producing a dominant 4-1 victory with a strong all-round performance.

A change in formation and personnel paid off immediately. The Saints opened the scoring through Mark Ryan-Purcell after excellent build-up down the right, with a clever backheel from Tomas Fonseca releasing Nathan Sitch, who drove into the box and picked out Mark for the finish.

The second came again down the right, as Oisin Murphy delivered a superb outside-of-the-boot ball into Sitch, whose touch forced a Giahtem defender into an own goal.

The third saw Chris Byrnes play a looping ball forward, with Sitch using his pace to beat the defender and the keeper before finishing into an empty net.

The fourth came from the opposite side, as Jeremy Gatine launched a ball down the left. Zakaria Ibrahim chased it down, beat his man, and produced a composed lob over the keeper to cap off a brilliant move.

The Saints went into half-time 4-0 up, before conceding a late penalty in the second half, but the result was never in doubt.

A huge performance from front to back as the Saints bounce back in style. 🔵⚪️

Saigon Ultimate XI League - Matchday 5 (11/04/26)
Saigon Saints 0-2 Saigon Japan

Saturday evening saw the Saints take on Saigon Japan in the Ultimate League in what proved to be a high-intensity, fast-paced encounter from the very first whistle.

Both sides applied heavy pressure early on, leaving little space for either team to create clear chances. The breakthrough came through an unfortunate moment for the Saints, as a strong save from Max deflected unluckily off our our own defender and into the net to give Japan the lead.

The Saints responded well, showing moments of quality and composure, but found it difficult to break down a well-organised Japan defence. The best opportunity came in the second half after a sharp spell of passing play down the left. Debutant Sean McCormack delivered a pinpoint cross onto the head of an in form Chuck Marion, whose looping effort beat the keeper but agonisingly came back off the crossbar.

Saigon Japan continued to threaten with some good passing in the 2nd half and were awarded a penalty following a dangerous attack down the left. Despite a good effort from Max, getting a hand to it, the spot kick was converted to double the lead.

The Saints showed resilience and kept battling until the end but were unable to find a breakthrough.

Credit to Saigon Japan for an impressive performance.

SIFL League – Matchday 7 (28/03/2026)
Saigon Saints 1–1 Sporting Saigon

The Saints concluded their SIFL season with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against last year’s champions Sporting Saigon.

A highly competitive game that could have gone either way, with both sides creating chances throughout.

The Saints took the lead in the first half when Jai Sharma capitalised on a loose pass in the opposition half, cutting inside past defenders before finishing calmly past the keeper.

The lead was short-lived, as Sporting equalised from a free kick that glanced off Brian Monaghan.

Both teams pushed for a winner in the second half, but a strong defensive display — combined with a solid performance from goalkeeper Maxime Oswald — ensured the Saints held firm.

At full-time, the Saints lifted the SIFL League Trophy, finishing the campaign as Invincibles with no losses — an incredible achievement and a season to remember for everyone involved with the club. 🏆

Saigon Ultimate XI League – Matchday 4 (22/03/2026)
Saigon Saints 0–5 Fighting C***s

A difficult night for the Saints as they fell to a 5-0 defeat against a strong Fighting C***s side.

Costly mistakes and a below-par defensive display allowed the opposition to capitalise, and the Saints were unable to recover across the game. There were moments of good build-up play and flashes of chances, but not enough to truly trouble the opposition keeper.

A disappointing result, but one the team will reflect on as they look to bounce back and go again in the next fixture. 🔵⚪️

Saigon Ultimate XI League – Matchday 3 (15/03/2026)
Saigon Saints 4–0 Inter Saigon

A dominant all-round display from the Saints saw them record a convincing 4-0 victory over Inter Saigon.

Nathan Sitch continued his excellent form, adding another hat-trick to his tally with a superb first-half performance.

The opening goal came after a fantastic solo effort from Jai Sharma, whose powerful strike forced a save from the keeper, allowing Sitch to react quickest and convert the rebound.

The second followed when a high lofted ball from Brian Monaghan caused problems in the box. The keeper failed to gather cleanly, and Toro Hinds squared the loose ball to Sitch, who finished into an empty net.

Sitch completed his hat-trick shortly after when the Saints built from the back. After turning to release Hinds through on goal, a loose touch fell to the keeper, where Sitch managed to block the keeper’s clearance and finish straight down the middle.

In the second half, the Saints remained composed both in and out of possession. Zakaria Ibrahim added the fourth after Hinds’ effort was parried into his path, leaving the winger with a simple finish.

A strong team performance from front to back secured another clean sheet, continuing the Saints’ impressive run this season. 🔵⚪️

The result makes it 5 wins from 5 in the SIFL 🔵⚪️
