Espiritu Santo Golf Club

Yesterday we gathered to farewell Alan and celebrate the incredible contribution that both Alan and Sue have made to the Espiritu Santo Golf Club.

Alan and Sue stepped into the roles of President and Treasurer during a very challenging period. At a time when the Club was facing significant financial and operational difficulties through COVID, they worked tirelessly to help turn things around. Thanks to their dedication, leadership, and countless hours of effort, the Club was able to recover and is now in the strong, debt-free position it enjoys today.

On behalf of all our members, we thank Alan and Sue for everything they have done for the Club and the wider golfing community. We wish them both every happiness as they begin their new chapter back in Australia and look forward to welcoming them back for a game whenever they visit Santo.

At Alan’s request, everyone took part in a fun 3-Club Challenge. Congratulations to our winners, Alex and Sue M, on a great result, then we followed afterwards with an island themed party.

The day was made even more special as it also happened to be my birthday, giving us a double celebration. Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes, the laughs, dance moves and a wonderful evening.

Safe travels, Alan and Sue. You will both be greatly missed, but your legacy at the Club will be remembered for many years to come. ⛳️❤️

This Saturday 13th June is Alan’s final game at the Royal santo golf club , as he moves back to Australia.

⛳️ Celebrating Uncle Mark’s 70th Birthday at Santo Golf Club ⛳️

Yesterday we had the pleasure of celebrating Uncle Mark’s 70th birthday, and what a fantastic day and night it was!

It was a true testament to how much Uncle Mark is loved and respected within our community, with a full clubhouse and an impressive field of 23 players joining in the celebrations.

The day featured a fun 4-Man Ambrose competition, and congratulations go to our winning team:
🏆 Jean, Anne, Alan and Sue M. We then had some laughs with some night golf.

Thank you Nick for making mark a special keepsake clock.

A huge thank you to Jean and Sam for cooking the BBQ and everyone who brought a salad — your efforts were very much appreciated. Thanks Merryn for your delicious birthday cake.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day so special. The wonderful turnout, laughter, friendship and community spirit ensured Uncle Mark’s 70th birthday will be remembered for many years to come.

⛳️ Ladies Golf Morning – This Wednesday! ⛳️

A reminder that our Ladies Golf Morning is on this Wednesday at 9:00am.

This week is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about the game, as Alan will be joining us to provide a lesson before we head out onto the course and play together. Whether you’re new to golf or looking to improve your skills, everyone is welcome to come along and join in.

We would also like to let everyone know that complimentary drinks will no longer be provided at Ladies Golf. However, a selection of drinks will be available for purchase at the clubhouse.

A big thank you to Alan for giving his time to help our golfers learn and enjoy the game.

We were especially thrilled to see 7 women playing, a wonderful reflection of the growing interest in golf on Santo. A big thank you to Anne and Sabine for their initiative in introducing the Women’s Golf Mornings, which are helping more women get involved and enjoy the game.

It’s been a big few days getting everything rebuilt, and we’re so grateful for everyone who pitched in to help make it happen.

And Uncle Mark and Ben, Mark Ryder, Rick, Jamie, Brad raynold, and Aram for all your hard work and support. We truly appreciate the time and effort you’ve all put in for the club.
