Port Vila POWER HOUSE rugby league club was founded in 2013 to compete in the Shefa domestic league, inter-provincial games & develop rugby league players throughout Vanuatu... the original concept for the Port Vila POWER HOUSE RLC developed over a conversation between PowerHouse Performance Head Trainer Brett Wright & Olympic Judoka Nazario Fiakaifonu, & as they say... the rest is history. Dear all,
Port Vila Power House Rugby League Club would like to formally announce we have been rebranded under the new Club name Vate Bulldogs Rugby League Club.
The historic change came after Former Coach and Founder Brett Wright announced his leaving last year urging Senior Players take the lead to continue under an insignia of their choosing.
After the Departure of the Clubs Founder and Coach, Vate Bulldogs RLC is now deciding to formally break the news to all of its fans knowing how much support you have given us over the years.
The decision to use Vate Bulldogs comes from the fact that all Ex-Powerhouse / Vate Bulldogs RLC Players are all Ex-Vate Bulldogs Rugby Union Players who made the switch to Rugby League many years ago.
Not much has or will change apart from the rebranded name and colors of the team that is red, black and white. The game and players are still the same, and as per usual, we always strive to put on an exciting season for everyone to watch
This being said we would like to make a small mention to Brett Wright who over the past 13 Years has given so much to Vanuatu Rugby League and Sport in General. The competition and level of Rugby League today would not have been as it is now if it hadn't been for Brett who intoxicated the rest of us with his love for Rugby League π.
This being said, we would like to thank Brett for the good run and now, we have officially taken over, we would like to assure everyone that we will continue to develop the vision our founder set for the club many years ago to
continue developing sport in Vanuatu.
