Paramount Chief of Ifira Chief Mantoi Kalsakau Paunimanu III has granted his blessing to Tamafira Rally Team this morning for the team to use ‘Tamafira’ name and Gods protection over this weekends final Race and future Rally races.
The chief said “I am very proud to see our younger generations of Ifira competing in many sports discipline and today we have added Rally Racing into our Portfolio in sports; please carry the name with respect and make us people of Ifira proud”
The Tamafira team will compete in its third year of racing under ACPV Rally and has improved its pace and ranking in each race. Nelson Law first born son of Lazeini Taiwia from Ifira is the Pilot, Victor Korikalo son of Seru Korikalo is the co-pilot and Antonio Korikalo is the team manager.
Team manager Antonio K said “we are currently 3rd on the championship tally after the first rally race this year in July, and we look forward to winning more stages and super stages this to get more points for a chance to finish on the podium”
This weekends race will be at devils point and first race starts at 11am. It will be a two day event with super fast coconut stage and night time stages also. Follow Tamafira Rally Facebook or rally for updates.

Sadly this morning we have to say goodbye to three of our Pit Crew members departing for seasonal workers program in Australia.
Night Riderz Club wishes to congratulate ilo, ettiene and keith on their new path in life, as the famous saying goes "there is always a life after drift."
The three of you are previledge to be offered a space in the program therefore make the most out of it, shine and be a role model for the future ones yet to join the program.
Go with God and return together as a team, the drift team would not be complete without the three of you.
Come back safe and in one piece!
