🌧️ Rainy, cold, staying-at-home weather… but our spirit was warm! 🥋❤️

This morning, with the weather like this, we were a little worried. Would people still come?
But from very early moment, we received incredible support.

A big thank you
- to the wonderful staff of Port Vila Hardware for helping us get started,
- to the Judoka families and our sponsors for generous donations of sausages, bread, extra sweets, foods and drinks,
- to all the judokas and families who helped at the stand today — from kids to adults with dancing and singing! 🥋🎶 It was truly a beautiful day, and we did a great job together.

And of course,
- to every single person who stopped by our stand and gave us your support and warm smiles.

With the incredible support of community, we achieved another fantastic fundraising result — despite the weather! 🎉
Our sincere gratitude to everyone involved. 🙏

Dear Port Vila Hardware
Once again, thank you for providing us with this wonderful location and for all your hard work every Saturday. 🙏

A Special Guest at Ted Drew Dojo 🥋🇻🇺🇯🇵

For the past two weeks, we have been very fortunate to have Mr. Keiichi Iwamoto, 4th Dan, with us. He is the father of our JICA Volunteer, Riki, and during his stay he has joined every judo class, choosing to spend his time with our Vanuatu judoka and share the spirit of judo.
Vanuatu Judo Federation would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Iwamoto 🙏
This coming Wednesday will be his last day with us before he returns home.
We hope you have enjoyed your time with our Vanuatu judoka as much as we have enjoyed having you with us.

Once, he was the teacher of his son.
Today, father and son are united here in Vanuatu, sharing their knowledge, techniques, and passion for judo with our judoka.
What a beautiful example of two generations coming together through judo and contribution to Vanuatu Judo !
🥋❤️🇻🇺🇯🇵

🥋 A great Saturday morning on the mat at Dojo Ted Drew!

We were delighted to welcome Mark Nasmith, 2nd Dan and President of the Henkada Judo Club (Hamilton, New Zealand), who trained alongside our judokas. Every year, he shares his time with our Federation 🙏

We also thank André Sesboué, 4th Dan in karate (Caen, France), a regular at our Saturday sessions since late July, for his final training with us before heading home.

Judo is also this: open mats and connections that cross borders. 🇻🇺🇳🇿🇫🇷
