The past couple of days have been incredibly difficult to process and comprehend.

Saveatama Faamavaega “Rachel” Saveatama was a faithful servant of the game who proudly represented many clubs throughout his rugby and rugby league journey. Loved and respected by many, regardless of the jersey he wore, he will be remembered for the friendships he built, the commitment he showed, and the positive impact he had on those around him

Our heartfelt condolences remain with his family, loved ones, teammates, and the wider rugby community.

May you rest in eternal peace Rasta 🕊️

1990
Began her journey with the Samoa Netball Association as a volunteer for the grassroots program.

1991
Represented Samoa as a player at the Netball World Cup.

1992
Served as Head Coach for the U21 squad at the World Youth Games in Suva.

Leadership
Served as the CEO of Netball Samoa and as an Executive Member of the Oceania Netball Federation, driving governance and sustainable growth for the sport.

For over 3 decades, Rosemarie has been a constant force in grassroots netball, driving development programs through Samoana Fitness. Today she continues this legacy as the Head Coach of the TWINZ Netball Club. Her unwavering passion for nurturing young local talent has shaped generations of athletes, serving as a testament to her commitment to the sport and our community.
