NRL Samoa continues to grow and strengthen girls rugby league development programs across schools, with increasing participation and enthusiasm from Vaimauga College female students.
The growing interest in the game is a positive sign for the future of women's rugby league in Samoa. 🏉




Ministry Of Sports and Recreation Team Up Australian High Commission, Samoa

Today at Tanumalala Prison, the NRL Voice Against Violence team delivered a powerful workshop with inmates, using rugby league drills and teamwork to reflect on important life lessons.

Our session covered:
- Good communication – how listening and expressing ourselves clearly can prevent conflict and build respect.
- Myths vs facts about men’s behaviour – challenging stereotypes and promoting healthier attitudes.
- Decision making and consequences – understanding how choices shape our lives, families, and communities.

By combining rugby league drills with these conversations, we showed how discipline, teamwork, and respect on the field can translate into eliminating violence off the field.

We are proud to stand alongside the Tanumalala community, reinforcing the message that violence has no place in our game, our homes, or our society.
