It’s our final Friday night at Delaware this year!

It has definitely been quite the year but still a great one!

We have found speed consistently in the prolate and have gotten into the 18s. We look to continue and improve tonight in preparation for the 300 next weekend!

Great Canadian 300 here we come!

My goal after crashing the modified was to have some fun and enjoy the sport myself and my team are most passionate about for the remainder of the year!

First and foremost I wanted to thank all the people who reached out to check on me thank you.

Second all the people who helped me load the car into the trailer Friday night it was raining and a pain but we managed it in.

I’d also like to thank the safety crew and staff at Delaware for getting the car off the track and helping with the tow truck to get the car into the trailer and making sure Adam and I were okay.

I want to thank all the people who support me. My grandpa who works tirelessly alongside me to prepare the car each and every week. My family that comes to the track and helps on every race day. My friends aka crew who sacrifice their Friday nights to help me live my dream.

It was a crappy deal for both Adam and I. Luckily we were both able to walk away. Unfortunately the car is in very bad shape and is done for the season. It’s heartbreaking but We will assess the full extent of damage once we are able to get the car out of the trailer and in the shop.

Going forward we will look at getting the prolate finished up and out to a few races if possible. We will not quit or give up. Just might be slow going for a little to try and get a plan going forward and to recoup the losses faced.

Highlights from our double header weekend with the epic racewear Delaware modifieds and the overkill enterprises Oscaar modifieds!

Friday night was a great day. Finding speed and a groove throughout the day! We started on the pole for the feature leading a few laps before the 51 who was on rails took away our lead. We fell back abit as the car tightened up. We still managed a good race finishing 5th but unfortunately coming over the scales a little light causing a DQ. Non the less we were extremely happy with the night!

Saturday was hot! With some tweaking we got the car working pretty good! Unfortunately we blew a power steering line during warm up laps in the heat. We attempted to run but with a limited time to fix the issue prior to the feature start we decided to pull off and fix the issue. We started last in the feature but quickly started picking off cars getting up to 10th before we were unfortunately on the bitter end of a racing deal. It caused a toe issue on our right front and banged up our nose pretty good. We continued on even with the car tightening up we were still able to get to 8th. Due to the damaged nose we overheated and were forced to call it a race.

We hope to build on the speed we have found!

Race Day Recap! 🏁

Practice started off strong. With a lot of new parts and the help of McColl’s over the last several weeks, we were able to get the car into a great groove. After feeling it out and posting some competitive lap times, we were ready for our heat race.

We started 4th and ultimately finished 4th. We had the speed, but a center push kept us from finding a line that would allow us to make a run on the 69 or the 12.

We made some changes heading into the feature and were excited to see how they worked, but unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans and cut our night short.

Overall, it was a great start to the season. We’re happy with where we are and feel like we have a fast car to work with moving forward.

A big thank you to Bryan Batty for coming out and helping us on Friday, as well as my family and regular crew members. Without them, none of this would be possible.

I also want to thank Mike, Paul G., Sarah, and everyone at McColl’s for all of their help, hard work, and knowledge. They have given us the edge we’ve been missing the last couple of years. Racing can be tough and will humble you quickly, so we’re grateful to have a company like McColl’s in our corner to help get our program where we want it to be.
