How are you influencing your team/organisational climate?
Hubby and I recently joined where we run 5km every Saturday morning at 7am with a group of over 100 people.
We have done a few races in the past, so we wanted to add this to our training program.
Running has become part of our life because we value fitness and long-term health.
Races and fun runs provide a structure to our week/year and they force us to keep going.
They also clarify norms when we show up at the starting line, having a chat with fellow runners and make sure to look out for each other in the race.
Those runs also build cohesiveness in our marriage and with family and friends who are also into running.
And finally, those races help us to promote the standards of excellence we want to see in our lives.
