Coach Browns comments “That was a worth while run out against mussy it gave us a chance to see what a number of our new recruits and what they can do.
As Always things to work on in a first pre-season game but all in all it was a good test that could have went either way.
The new tackle height is something we will work hard at this week but it seems fairly clear it’s below the ball or you risk a penalty against you.

Particularly well done to our new lock and MOM who put in a big shift around the park and some good lineout work but he was followed closely by a number of forwards that were physical and showed big work rates and in the backs some great attacking play by old and new players. We are looking forward to a good weeks training to sort out some things and we look forward to going again against Falkirk at home this Saturday.

Things are very positive and we are expecting a number of guys back this week to enhance the squad. Trying to ramp it up week by week to be ready for our first league game”

Special shout-out to the Musselburgh lads for sticking around after the game, a club with great values.

Coach browns comments- Adam
Glad to have Adam back with his hard nose approach to the game and never taking a step back is unique in a young player and won him young player of the season 2 years ago. He was over in Glasgow for a year playing at GHA in the prem. He’s spent the last 6 months out in Australia playing for north’s. Last weekend he made his prem debut and played against 3 Queensland reds players and a few Fijian caps so we are certain he’ll return an even better player.

Not only does joey have size on his side he’s also got top skills and a cool head on his shoulders and has recently been named as captain of the caley 18’s, the future is bright. I was also happy to see he was ranked 3rd for speed with our new gps trackers. I’m looking forward to seeing him flourish in the men’s game. There is no doubt he’s good enough.
