Benefits of private yoga :
1.) Heated studio!
Perfect for that cold weather when she finally decides to stick around. A heated studio also offers the opportunity for your body to get deeper into the poses and the muscles open up and expand. Heated practice also helps clear out toxins in the body and, our personal favorite, it simply gets you to your edge! *studio can be heated or non-heated upon request*
2.) Personal program!
Private clients enjoy the benefit of a tailored practice that suits the needs, limitations, and goals of their practice.
3.) Completely socially distant!
No need to worry if your neighbor is too close. Private clients enjoy the entire studio to themselves.
4.) Props and equipment!
Casa Bandha has a range of props to help you get the most of your practice. Drop in to see how you can incorporate foam rollers, yoga wheels, blocks and more into your wellness routine.
5.) A clean and safe space!
All equipment, mats, and spaces in Casa Bandha are sanitized before and after each use to ensure your safety and peace of mind. Masks are also worn at all times during practice.
The benefits of a private practice are truly endless! Not sure where to start? Send us a message today and let us help you develop a routine that works for you.

If you asked us at the beginning of this year where we think we would be right now I know none of us would have believed this to be our reality. Many times we have been forced to pivot, scrap, rebuild, and at times almost walk away. But through it all we have stayed true to our commitment to be a community minded organization that provides affordable and accessible wellness resources to those who need it most. As such- we have some exciting new offerings, partnerships, and opportunities coming up here at Casa Bandha Yoga.
Full schedule refresh- including *limited* opportunities to practice in studio- and other announcements coming v soon so be sure to turn on your post notifications!
In the meantime- check out our stories to let us know what classes and times you are looking for to work into your wellness routine.
And be sure to save this post and share with your friends! We are up against a tough winter- let us help you navigate the coming days with programs and access to other resources throughout the community to help you stay connected.

Did you know...
That the roots and growth of yoga as a practice originated by men for men of certain standing or spiritual discipline? That yoga was brought over to the West by men? Or that it wasn’t until many years after the practice had already been an established discipline that the first woman was ever allowed to participate in the program?
And yet...
Modern yoga in the West today has placed such a strong emphasis on the white, rich, slender looking female yogis that many men feel it is a practice inaccessible to them.
Let’s break down the three main reasons we feel men of the west are hesitant to try yoga.
1) Exercise as competition
Men thrive in competitive atmospheres and activities. However, this competitive attitude is atypical of yoga.
2) Body Image of Yoga
We touched on this above already, but the modern image of the ideal male physique is muscular, powerful, and oftentimes bulky. Whereas the modern image of the ideal yogi has been morphed into a thin, beautiful, affluent woman due to marketing and advertising.
3) Holistic Practice
Where most men, particularly power-lifters and physical fitness enthusiasts, are used to a painful “work out”, Yoga is a “work-in”. And in a culture which strongly emphasizes the macho attitude of “no pain, no gain” and “big boys don’t cry” the practice can be incredibly uncomfortable in a way that most men, frankly, aren’t prepared for.
The reality is/ yoga is for e v e r y body.
And here at Casa Bandha we are committed to sharing that reality with as many bodies as possible.
What are some other barriers you feel men face on yoga journeys? Share below!
