Event #4 of the Asotin County Fair weekend was the second performance of the Hells Canyon Rodeo. Queen Ashleigh and visiting royalty, representing their communities from throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho were introduced at the 2pm performance by announcer Jim Bob Custer.
Thankful for the kind hospitality provided by the committee and visiting royalty director Peggy Candler-Hansford. The individualized stall banners, were a sweet keepsake!
Representing the Benton Franklin Fair & Kennewick Horse Heaven Round Up at the Asotin County Fair and Hells Canyon Rodeo was a perfect way to start the outdoor rodeo season!

Such a lovely morning for the first parade of the rodeo season in Asotin this morning. Queen Ashleigh and Mudd won 5th place in the mounted royalty division, winning a pretty green ribbon, matching her stunning parade outfit!
The streets were lined with families and children with bags filled with candy! Lots of sweet comments on Ashleigh’s outfit, and little girls wanting to know Mudd’s name.
Following the parade was the visiting royalty luncheon. Thanks to Peggy Candler-Hansford and her team for a wonderful taco salad and homemade cookies!

Friday night at the Hells Canyon Rodeo, Queen Ashleigh and her partner, Mudd, had the first of many outdoor rodeo grand entries for 2026. Following the rodeo, a walk through the Asotin County Fair, found Ashleigh and entourage enjoying burgers and corndogs and lemonade from hometown vendors. A few stops for photos and autographs with the kiddos, made this event a perfect start to the weekend.
