🏏💙 WHAT A WAY TO LAUNCH THE SEASON! 🤍🏏

What an incredible turnout for our 2026/27 Season Launch at Lara Reserve 3/Quokka Net Oval!

It was fantastic to see so many of our junior and senior players, families, coaches, volunteers and supporters come together to celebrate the beginning of another exciting season at Lara Cricket Club.

There was plenty of cricket, skill-based activities, laughter and club spirit on display throughout the day.

A massive thank you to our senior players who helped run the activities, everyone who assisted with the BBQ and canteen, and all the families who joined us and made the day such a success.

We were also delighted to welcome representatives from Community Bank Lara District, whose continued support helps our club and junior program thrive.

🏏 JUNIOR TRAINING SCHEDULE HAS DROPPED!

Training is about to begin for our mixed U11, U13 and U15 teams, along with our U17.5 Boys team, at the Lara Cricket Nets.

Whether you’re a new or returning player, we’d love to see you there! Check out below for your age group’s training day and time.

📣 Big update for our junior!

This season, the Geelong Junior Cricket Association will be trialling the boys’ competition as an Under 17.5 age group.

This change provides an additional six-month eligibility window, giving players more time to develop their skills, enjoy playing alongside their mates and prepare for the transition into senior cricket.

⭐ Any player who is under 17.5 years of age as of 1 September 2026 will be eligible to play in the 2026/27 season—which is incredible news!

If you placed an online apparel order before 3 August, your gear will be available to collect tomorrow at our Season Launch.

It’s YOUR Season Launch. Your mates. Your team. Your club.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Bring the family! Everyone’s welcome. The more the merrier!

🏏 The whole oval to enjoy, with fun cricket activities bringing our juniors and seniors together.

Our Senior Men & Women will be running cricket activities for our juniors, and our Committee will be there for a catch-up and a chat.

Thinking about giving cricket a go? Lara Cricket Club is welcoming female players aged 13+ to join our growing Women’s Cricket Program for the 2026/27 season.

Whether you’ve played before, are returning to cricket or have never picked up a bat, you’re welcome.

Come along on your own or bring a friend, sister, mum or daughter. Meet the team, have a go and see what being part of the cricket club is all about.
