🏉 MIDWEEK MAGIC FOR OUR U11s! 🏉
Tonight, our U11s welcomed Halton Hornets to Fir Tree Lane for a midweek fixture, with both teams expecting a close and competitive game, and that’s exactly what we got! 💪
For the first time, our U11s took on 13-a-side rugby on a full-size pitch, as they begin preparing for next season… and they certainly didn’t disappoint! 👏
The Bulldogs started strongly, with George making a fantastic break to score the opening try, which he converted himself 🦵 🏉
The Bulldogs’ defence was outstanding, keeping the Hornets at bay and heading into half-time with a 6–0 lead🛡️
The second half saw a real arm wrestle, with both teams battling hard for every yard. The Bulldogs extended their lead with a second try, converted by Arnold, making it 12–0 👏
Halton weren’t giving up though, and fought their way back into the game with a try in the corner, although the conversion was missed. They continued to pile on the pressure and soon added a second converted try to bring the score to 12–10🔥
The Bulldogs dug deep, showed fantastic determination and held on for a narrow but well-earned victory! 🐶💙
Full Time:

A brilliant, competitive game played in great spirit by both teams. Huge credit to Halton for their fightback and to our Bulldogs for showing the composure and resilience to see the game out!
Well done boys! 🐶🔵🔴⚪️
