A massive shout-out to our five Gorey RFC lads representing the North East U16s in today’s Shane Horgan Cup clash against the South East U16s!

💪 Aidan Brennan (Captain), Tyler Klopper (Vice-Captain), Charlie Kennedy, Jimmy Collier and Harry Swaine.

Five fantastic young players doing themselves, their families and Gorey RFC proud! 👏

FULL TIME | GOREY 68–5 EMERALD WARRIORS 🏉

Another great win for Gorey Women as we secured a 68–5 victory away to Emerald Warriors in our second Leinster League game!

Blathnaid Kenny got us off to a flying start, crossing the line for our opening try and going on to complete her hat-trick in the first half! Millie Byrne added two tries, with Shauna Aylmer also getting on the scoresheet.

The girls kept the momentum going into the second half, with Robyn Cousins, Ruby Grouse, Kelsie Kennedy and Alex Byrne all crossing the line. Dan Aylmer was on form with the boot, adding some brilliant conversions throughout the game! 👌🏻

A special mention to our Player of the Match, Dan Aylmer, and a huge thanks to SOS for sponsoring the award!

Two league games, two wins! 💚🏉

💚🏉 WHAT A DAY FOR GOREY RFC! 🏉💚

A brilliant day both on and off the pitch for Gorey RFC as we hosted our Annual Captains Lunch, with former Gorey player and Irish international Paul Boyle as our special guest speaker.

Paul began his rugby journey right here in Gorey, coming up through our age grades before going on to play at the very highest level with Connacht and Ireland. It was fantastic to welcome him back to his home club, and we are hugely grateful to Paul for taking the time to join us and share some great stories from his rugby career.

And what a day it turned out to be on the pitch too! 👏

🏉 Our Senior Men continued their winning ways with a hard-fought 23–21 victory over a strong Kilkenny side.

🏉 Our Seconds produced an incredible comeback against Kilkenny! Trailing by 17 points with less than 10 minutes remaining, they somehow turned the game around to claim a remarkable victory. What a performance!

🏉 Our Senior Ladies were in flying form on the road, recording a superb 68–5 victory over the Emerald Warriors!

🏉 Our U20s put in a huge effort but were narrowly beaten by a strong Barnhall side.

👏 Congratulations to Stephen Horan and Seamus Tomkins, pictured below, who were awarded Man of the Match honours for their excellent performances.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Captains Lunch, supported our teams and helped make the day such a success.

Days like these sum up everything that's great about Gorey RFC – fantastic rugby, great people and a brilliant club spirit!

With just 4 caps for Gorey since joining us from Clondalkin, Dan is already making a huge impact!
