🚨 PRIVATE EVENT NOTICE – SATURDAY, JUNE 6 🚨

Just a heads up, Goose friends — tomorrow we have another private rental taking over the venue.

We'll be open to the public until 5:00 PM on Saturday, after which the space will be closed for a private event.

Private rentals like these are a critical part of keeping The Goose going. They help us support live music, comedy, community events, and all the weird and wonderful things that happen here throughout the year. While we never love turning away our regulars or first-time visitors, these bookings make a huge difference in our long-term success.

The last time we closed for a private event was back in January, but we've got a bit of a double-header coming up with private events both this Saturday and next Saturday.

OPEN MIC COMEDY TONIGHT at The Goose – 8PM

There's been a lot of discussion lately about whether the city should spend tax dollars on creating a new outdoor entertainment venue. Whatever side of that debate you fall on, one thing is certain: the venues we already have need support, too.

Over the last year, Dubuque has lost some important brick-and-mortar spaces that hosted music, comedy, art, and community gatherings. Independent venues don't stay around because people like the idea of them... they stay around because people show up.

Tonight is our weekly Open Mic Comedy Night, and we'd love to see the room full. Whether you're coming to perform, laugh, grab a drink, or just support a local business that's trying to create opportunities for artists and entertainers year-round, your presence matters.

WING WEDNESDAY AT THE GOOSE

This week's experimental wing flavor is Blackened Caesar.

We took the classic flavors of a Caesar dressing: garlic, parmesan, lemon, anchovy, and Worcestershire, then gave them a Cajun makeover with plenty of blackened seasoning. The result is a rich, savory wing with layers of umami, a little tang, and just enough heat to keep things interesting.

If you're a fan of garlic parmesan wings, this is the next evolution.
