🏁 **ARCOR AT COPA BOGOTÁ ONROAD 2026 — A CHALLENGING WEEK, A PROUD RESULT FOR ARUBA 🇦🇼**

What an experience.

After **6 intense days and more than 10 hours at the track every single day**, our team from **ARCOR — Aruba Radio Control Onroad Racing** wraps up the 2026 COPA BOGOTÁ ONROAD R/C event in Colombia with a tremendous sense of pride.

Representing ARCOR and Aruba were our three pilots:

🇦🇼 **Alvin Thijsen**

This was a serious commitment from all three, with long days at the track requiring focus, preparation and determination from beginning to end.

The track was **incredibly challenging and constantly changing**. Rapid and often stark changes in temperature throughout each day already made finding the right setup difficult — but on top of that, **we had rain every single day.**

The combination of rain and temperature swings meant that **grip levels varied greatly throughout the day**. A setup that worked well in one session could behave completely differently in the next. Reading the track, adapting quickly and finding consistency on such an unpredictable surface required patience, experience and constant work from the entire team.

But through it all, our pilots showed **confidence, professionalism and determination.**

Considering just how demanding and unpredictable the track conditions were, we are extremely happy with **ARCOR's performance**. The results are important, but equally important was proving that we can **adapt, compete and perform under difficult conditions** alongside strong international competition.

Six long days, changing temperatures, daily rain, constantly varying grip levels and countless setup adjustments tested everyone — pilots and team alike. We leave Colombia knowing that we gave it everything we had.

None of this happens without support.

A very special **THANK YOU to LOTTO ARUBA** for helping make this trip and opportunity possible. Your support for ARCOR, our pilots and the continued development of R/C racing in Aruba is deeply appreciated.

We also extend our sincere thanks to **Gerlien Croes, Minister of Kingdom Relations, Education, Youth, Innovation and Sports of the Government of Aruba**, for the support and recognition of sport and our athletes.

We return home with more experience, more knowledge and even more motivation.

The DOW Parkinglot Track was alive with intense competition, pure speed, and nonstop performance as both electric-powered cars and nitro machines pushed their limits on the track! From close battles to blistering lap times, the energy all day long was absolutely amazing.

We’ve upgraded our track experience with a brand-new timing system, and that means **scheduled practice sessions are now in effect every Sunday**!

No more chaos on the track — we’ve organized **20-minute sessions per category**, so:
🏎️ Slower cars get their space
🔥 Faster, heavier nitro machines run separately
🚫 Fewer crashes, more clean racing, and better practice for everyone

**And here’s the best part…**
There’s now space for **non-club members** to come out and try their R/C cars on our track! Whether you’re running a Traxxas or any other type of R/C car, you’re welcome to join in and drive. 🙌

Just received this great photo from the 2020 GT8 IFMAR Worlds in Homestead, FL. It brings back amazing memories seeing ARCOR’s Paolo Inocencia together with Team Curaçao at one of the highest levels of the sport.

For Paolo, competing on the world stage was a tremendous experience, going head-to-head with the best GT drivers from around the globe. Finishing in the top half of the world’s best GT drivers was a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for Aruba RC Onroad Racing and CRCCDA Team Curaçao.
