A challenging day for the club.

The 1st XI were narrowly defeated, with Tom Schofield posting an impressive 50 and Daniel Schofield leading the bowling effort.
The 2nd XI also went down to Hawthorn after a strong and determined run chase.

Focus now turns to regrouping and building momentum as we push toward finals.

With the 2nd XI being washed out, the rain tried its best to turn the 1st XI game into a swimming carnival, but the boys weren’t having it. We stuck it out, grabbed the win and watched 2’s Skipper James Briggs casually peel off a very tidy 54* like he was ordering a coffee. Classy.

The bowlers then shared it around like free chips at the pub, everyone got stuck in and made an impact.

Quality win, soggy conditions, happy days.

A challenging weekend for the club, with the 1st XI being outdone by North Balwyn in the second last over and the 2nd XI also on the wrong side of the result. One highlight to celebrate — a superb century from Finn Barnacle. Well batted Finn!
