As the dust settles on one Ayrshire derby, another one is right on your doorstep!

The Marymass Derby will be contested tonight between West of Scotland League sides Irvine Meadow XI FC and Irvine Victoria FC at Meadow Park.

The annual traditional game enters its 100th edition with Medda coming in as reigning champions despite their west end rivals claiming the bragging rights previously in 2024 🏆

The two teams face bizarre post match circumstances following this tie.

Jamie McKim’s Meadow head to face Edinburgh University in the second preliminary round of the Senior Scottish Cup whilst Victoria make the 400-mile round trip to face Maud in the Communities Cup, both the very next day 🤯

NEW PITCH, NEW MEMORIES 🐿️

Kilmarnock Football Club majority shareholder, Billy Bowie, and chief executive of The Malcolm Group, Andrew Malcolm, kindly gave up their time to sit down for an exclusive interview with Killie TV this week.

Both spoke upon the completion of the brand-new hybrid, grass pitch at BBSP Stadium Rugby Park, with work commencing back in May at the end of last season.

The return to natural grass at the ground represents one of the most significant investments in the stadium’s infrastructure in the past decade.

The project was delivered by principal contractor, Malcolm Construction, working alongside the club and several specialist partners to ensure the pitch was ready for the start of the new William Hill Scottish Premiership campaign, as well as hosting Friday night’s Ayrshire derby, where Neil McCann’s side prevailed 3-2 against Ayr United.

Billy and Andrew spoke candidly about the full process at Rugby Park, as well as providing an update on the construction of Bowie Park – the club’s new training facility on the outskirts of the town.
