It has been an unreal year.
Started the year with a new enclosed trailer
The first time trial at Nelson's resulted in a plugged radiator, little did I know that was the start to the end of the original Engine.
Second time trial at Pitt resulted in damaged solid lifters that masked issues from the overheat at Nelson's
Going into Aug we completed the road race school, the car was not happy from day 1, we limped it though with a bad alignment chewing up tires. Thank goodness for Alliance auto sport, I was able to get some SRF take offs and solder on, by the end of the last day the car was barely running and the transmission could barely get in gear, but we did it!
Going into October we swapped drivetrains and ran our first major race with much success, the car ran beautifully and I was finally able to start to feel comfortable in it.
Looking back on the past year, though all the frustration, I can't help but think it was the most fun I've ever had.
This car has gone from long forgotten to back on track, we even found the sister car the original builders ran back in the early 90's. All the nights and weekends working away have finally started to pay off.
It was fantastic spending time with my friends and family, I can't thank my team enough for the work they have done.
I couldn't have done it without Chris and my dad
Looking at next year, we are working on a new built engine and keep on plugging with making the car faster
Thank you all and cheers to another year!
