We believe in hard work but also believe that Karate should be enjoyed by all. Rankings are done on a separate individual basis by the senior instructor. There will not be formal grading days as we believe each student must be graded according to their abilities and skill. Grading will be done at no extra costs to eliminate unfairness as is the case in many other Karate Schools. Dress Code:
Youngsters 3-6 will train in a Dojo T Shirt and white cricket pants which is easily obtained from all sport outlets. Juniors and Seniors
Gi's from other clubs are allowed for the first month of training but from then, Sentō Karate Gi's obtained from the school at prices that will be shown from time to time, must be worn. These can be ordered from the instructors. Shotokan Ranks from other schools will only be acknowledged once the student has undergone a full grading by the senior instructor to ensure quality Karate. To become a Sentō Karate Practitioner a student must complete the full Shotokan Syllables to qualify and obtain the Grey belt from Sentō Karate. A student must also know at least 13 Shotokan Katas.
