We welcomed many enthusiastic parkrun tourists who eagerly came to Barberton from afar to do our parkrun.
Thank you for traveling so far. 😌

We had 40 enthusiasts parkrunners who either walked, jogged or ran the 5km route. 🏃🏼

Today was the last and final parkrun in Barberton. Unfortunately we had to make this very difficult decision to stop this parkrun.

A big thank you to Aronica's Nursery, Drien and Henk, for the use of their premises the last few years. We all really enjoyed your farm.

Thank you to all that supported this event over the years, especially the volunteers that came every week to make the event possible.

We will soon post about a new WALK, JOG, RUN event in Barberton that will start but it will not be an official parkrun event.

The parkrun journey held at Aronica's Nursery outside Barberton will come to an end on Saturday, 27 September.

This is due to various factors that are outside the control of the few volunteers left.

We invite you to come join us for one last time on the beautiful trails on Saturday morning at 8am.

Briefing is 7:50am, start at 8am.

Arrive early as we are expecting more than normal attendance on these last 2 dates.

Toilets are available on the premises across from the parking.

On the R40 main road, look out for the parkrun signboard and follow the red arrows on the short gravel road.

Tiekie Boshoff has officially joined the 250 parkrun milestone club, a journey that reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and love for the community spirit of parkrun. Not only has she laced up her shoes 250 times to cross that finish line, but she has also given back generously by volunteering on more than 100 occasions.

Her commitment shows the true heart of parkrun – it’s not only about running or walking the 5km, but also about building friendships, uplifting others, and keeping the community thriving. Whether behind the camera capturing memories or out on the course, Tiekie’s enthusiasm continues to inspire everyone around her.
