100 years of memories. One extraordinary story. 🇮🇹❤️

Meet Ada, the oldest member of the Italian Sporting Club, as she takes us back to where it all began.

In Part 1, Ada shares her journey to South Africa in 1937 and remembers her unforgettable voyage back to Italy in 1948 aboard the Jerusalemme, sailing up the East African coast, through the Suez Canal, and home to Italy.

But that's only the beginning...

We also uncover the incredible story of Ada's father, who arrived in the Congo in 1929 before making his way to South Africa during the Great Depression. In an extraordinary twist, he later discovered that he had actually been born in South Africa, revealing that the story of Italians in South Africa stretches back even further than many realise.

This is more than one family's history. It's part of the story of Italian heritage in South Africa.
