🏏 Dominant Victory for Our Northerns Women Prem Side!
After a few weekends of byes and rainouts, our Northerns Women Prem team was finally back in action, taking on Geluksdal on our A field. And what a return it was! The ladies delivered a flawless all-round performance, securing a commanding 9-wicket victory!
🔥 Bowling Brilliance:
After sending Geluksdal in to bat, our bowlers wasted no time in making an impact. Zainah Davids led a fierce opening spell of fast bowling, while Tharsinii Sagathevan, Anke Oozthuizen, and Mickayla Croucamp each bagged three wickets, dismantling the opposition with precision.

Our batters made light work of the chase, sealing the win in style with a near-perfect display at the crease.

🏏❤️ In our 4th league match of the season, our ladies were in full control of the game, but unfortunately, the weather had the final say before we could seal the victory. It was yet another fantastic combined effort by the entire team yesterday. The highlight included an outstanding opening batting partnership of 116 runs between Tersia Owens and Jennifer Hall. Tamzyn Hartman, Megan Wilke and Carmen Sevenster closed the innings strong, setting a challenging target for the opposition.
On the bowling front, Megan Wilke was exceptional, tearing through the opposition’s top order with a blistering five-wicket haul. Supporting her efforts, our bowlers Zainah Davids, Anke Oosthuizen, Nadine Visser, and Mickayla Croucamp maintained a tight grip on the batting run rate with disciplined and controlled bowling.
Special shoutouts to Megan Wilke and Tersia Owens: Megan claimed five wickets, following her incredible six-wicket performance last weekend! Tersia Owens was equally impressive with the bat, scoring 93 runs, building on her stellar 84 runs from the previous weekend.
Well done, ladies! Keep up the great work! 🎉🏏

🏏👌 In our Third match of the season our ladies team gave a great combined team effort again with both bat and ball!
Our standout bowler for the match was Megan Wilke with a brilliant six wickets, including a hatrick! And only conceding 1 run.
Great stuff and well done Megan!
