Yes, hockey people are fun people!
Thank you to every player, coach, team manager, physio, bus driver, parent and everyone else involved with the teams at the Fairtree Super 12.

Just present at the tournament is a massive achievement itself – one of best top 12 female U18 school hockey teams in the country!

With the 11th edition of the Fairtree Super 12 something of the past, all that remains is a final thank you to everyone involved in making this a memorable event.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽

👉Collegiate, playing in their 1st final, became the 6th school to win the Super 12.

👉The last 5 years have produced 5 different winners = Collegiate in 2026, Paarl Gim in 2025, Rhenish in 2024, Eunice in 2023 and Oranje in 2022.

👉DSG reached their 1st ever final.

👉Last year’s best midfielder award went to Abigail Holderness of DSG. This year’s recipient is no other than her younger sister, Lucy.

👉Three of the 4 quarter-finals were decided by a shootout.

👉The top goal scorers, Daniella Grobbelaar (Oranje) & Lucy Holderness (DSG) both scored 6 times. And the number on their backs? 6!

👉The most goals by a team was Oranje, netting 5 against Reddam House Constantia.
