Katse Dam, located in the Lesotho Highlands, is an incredible engineering marvel. This impressive structure stands 185 meters tall, making it one of the largest dams in Africa. It's a key component of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, which supplies water to South Africa and generates hydroelectric power for Lesotho. The dam creates Katse Reservoir, a vast body of water surrounded by picturesque mountains and stunning landscapes.
