Wow, what a Weekend is all I can say!
Yet another Successful Weekend of Fun & Football had by all at Camp Discovery 😀⚽️🏆
I am so proud of ESS Sunward Park.
We only took 1 full U11 team to the SA Friendship Cup this year, with a few U9s and some U13s. However we still more than delivered our fair share of Memories and moments at every level possible 👍
First n foremost, we picked up Our First Ever Major Trophy as Overall Champions as a Venue at Camp Discovery in the U11 Age Group. 👏🥳
Overall standings:
⚽ U9 ESS Mixed Team - Overall 4th Place.
⚽ The U9 Individual Best Goalkeeper Award 🏆
⚽ U11 - 2026 SAFC Champions 🏆🇿🇦 ( Over 9 other teams, from various venues, such as Cape Town, Polokwane, Jhb, Nelspruit, Zambia and other venues).
⚽ U11 Best Goal Keeper Award 🏆
⚽ U13 Boys who joined our fellow East Rand Venue for the tournament - Plate runners up🥈
We are super proud of all of our players, coaches, parents and the facilitators that assisted us throughout the Camp.
A Big Thank you to Mark and his Team from Camp Discovery in coordinating another memorable weekend 😄
All of us thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Camp Discovery.
For us as Coaches though, aside from the trophies & awards. Some of the most important things we noticed was the growth in development our players have shown throughout the Weekend.
We had some players who were unable to kick a ball accurately or tackle an opponent or just show some calmness and composure in a game last year who were now key players for our sides competing in important games.
That is the biggest Prize for us as Managers and Coaches within this industry. Ensuring we are creating better players who are constantly making small but measured steps of growth and progress no matter the eventual outcome.
🤝⚽️🏆🇿🇦
