Unfortunately, this is also true in SA. However, in defense of coaching programs, Coaches live lives like everyone else with rent, petrol, food, insurance etc. In SA, Coaches are among the lowest paid category for their extremely important services. A plumber, doctor, electrician etc. all get paid very well for their hourly rate. Coaches, on the other hand, after studying for 3 years and with a few more years experience, only get paid a pittance compared to other professionals. Hopefully, this pattern will change in the coming years.
