We are sad to announce that our beloved Coach Zein will be moving on 😒 After years of dedication to CrossFit Brooklyn as a member and then as a coach, Zein is at a crossroads with his medical career and will hopefully be interning as a medical doctor very soon! This means that his time with us has come to an end. We will still be seeing him occasionally as he winds down his time with us but he will not be taking as many classes as he focuses on this next phase in his life.

Zein, thank you for so much more than we can say. You are so loved and respected by us all at CrossFit Brooklyn and we will miss you terribly. We wish you nothing but the best and you will always have a home here πŸ€—

CrossFit Brooklyn is looking for a Head Coach to join our fun and established team!

Responsibilities:
β€’ Lead high quality, energetic and safe CrossFit group training classes
β€’ Coach a minimum of 20 hours per week
β€’ Compilation and management of monthly coaching schedule
β€’ Management of coaching staff
β€’ Attendance of staff meetings
β€’ Client relations/queries
β€’ Planning, assistance and attendance at gym events
β€’ Daily gym management IRO ensuring gym is clean, tidy and damaged equipment is noted etc
β€’ Handling of walk in inquiries
β€’ Management of social media

Personal Qualities:
β€’ Responsible
β€’ Great communicator
β€’ Team player
β€’ Dedicated
*NB: Must have excellent people skills*

Qualifications:
β€’ 1-2 years previous coaching experience
β€’ CrossFit Level 1 certification or higher

We would like to publicly state that we do not agree with or condone in anyway the statements made by the CrossFit CEO.

Our focus has, and always will be, sharing the methodology of constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity and the community our gym has created.

The way forward is unclear at this stage but we are choosing to distance ourselves from CrossFit HQ and while we navigate this situation we will, as always, put the needs and desires of our community above all.

Introducing Kip, our Gymnastics speciality class!πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ CrossFit incorporates three main methodologies in its training and these are Metabolic Conditioning, Weightlifting, and Gymnastics. Our speciality classes on Mondays and Tuesdays will cover the former two. Wednesdays at 6:30pm our Kip class will take care of the third. This class will be low intensity but high in quality. Gymnastics needs slow and proper progression that will either get you that first pull up or make you more efficient with them for example! Let's get gymnasty!

Introducing our new TripX Classes!

TripX stands for Triple Extension.
This is one of the majorly important concepts in the world of Olympic Weightlifting. Be it the Clean, the Sn**ch or the Jerk, what we look for is triple extension at the ankles, knees and hips. Join us in these classes on Tuesdays at 6pm to hone in on your weightlifting technique and fall in love with this beautiful discipline. Don't forget to finish your pull.
