It was wonderful to welcome 110 golfers to our latest Family Event and see so many families enjoying time together at Steenberg Golf Club . ⛳🏌️♂️
As part of our Sunday Junior Series Course Readiness programme, juniors had the opportunity to experience the course alongside a family member in a fun and supportive environment. Our PGA Professionals also kept the youngsters entertained in between with an indoor golf practice setup and fun games, creating plenty of opportunities for learning, laughter, and connection.
It was great to see families from our community out together, sharing the experience, enjoying a meal, and spending time with fellow members. These are the moments that make our club such a special place — bringing people together and helping the next generation fall in love with the game. 🎉👏
Congratulations to all of our prize winners, and thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success. We look forward to seeing you at the next Family Event!

Coach Ben recently joined Dirk Reinerman, Andrea Townrow and Tam Townrow for an on-course lesson at Metropolitan Golf Club , helping them take their game from the practice area to the fairways. The session focused on developing solid pre-shot routines, completing their body rotation through the ball, and keeping their arms accelerating through impact. ⛳️
Dirk, Andrea and Tam are still fairly new to golf, but their enthusiasm and enjoyment of the game made it a fantastic session. It's always great to see golfers building confidence, improving their skills, and having fun along the way.
Keep up the great work, we can't wait to see your continued progress! 🙌👏

Between watching The Open Championship live on the big screen, tucking into boerie rolls, and taking swings at the sim, it was the perfect afternoon out. Great to see families making a day of it too!
While no one quite managed to nail a hole-in-one for the big prize, Riccardo Pizzocri got the closest to the pin and walked away with 5 free sessions!

Shout-out to Macen Lesbirel who golfed in a tournament all the way over in Ireland recently! Macen says it was a memorable experience for him, and he finished with rounds of 71, 76, 71. Well done, Macen! 🌍⛳

This week, we're celebrating Aianah's progress under the guidance of coach Ben at the Met. ⛳🏌️♀️
One of the key drills in her training has been a connection exercise, designed to help keep her hands longer in front of her body through the swing. To reinforce the feeling, Ben's had her working with a simple but effective tool: a rubber band, pulled tight and squeezed underneath the armpits, to build awareness of connection and control.
